New Search features

Being on the Search Team at National Instruments on the web team has had it's effects. All day I look at reasons why some documents are more or less searchable (is that a word?) than others. Kennandamy.com lacked in this area greatly.

So I added a google search to the site. This should enable users to search through the content of the site in a more effective manner. This will take some more work on my part to make the search results relevant and so on, but now that people have the option I will be more inclined to fix those things. As it stands I have added more keywords and relevant titles to each page which are given more wieght in the relevancy equations of most search engines.

It will take some time for the various search engines on the web to index the content, but it's well worth it.
I also added Search capability to the DVD Site. It's very nice to able to search through the titles and comments now! This is different since google and other search engines can't get into the DVD site I had to imiplement this myself. It is pretty powerful though. I added more data to each movie so that you could search an actor's name (or character in the movie name) or a directors name and get a list of movies they are in or were directed by.
