Yes, it was difficult. Homeboy could NOT sit still. We cut it last Saturday, the 19th.

And yes, I saved it.

It's so blonde and pretty. :*)

Happy 1st Birthday to Beckett!!!

When we celebrate something, we really go all out.

First birthday?

We go to IHOP. :)

Homeboy definitely enjoyed his ice cream sundae. He's my kid, after all.

I think he was a little sad when it was all gone.

This isn't, of course, the full celebration. We're having a party with our friends next week, where he'll eat cake and make yet another mess of himself.
But we had to do something for his actual birthday.
And this was fun. :)

Oh, today...

RANDOM occurrence #524--

Whilst running errands this morning, Beckett suddenly became very unhappy, and started getting a little red around the eyes and nose, rubbing and pulling his ears, and looking like the seasonal allergies were getting to him. By the time we got home, he looked like this--

He was a total monkey-face! I was so freaked out I didn't know what to do. My adorable Squishy had very red, hot ears that stuck all the way out, and his entire face was red and puffy and swollen. His eyes weren't swollen shut or anything (he was blinking from the flash) and he didn't have trouble breathing, but I was scared just the same.
I mean, honestly, wouldn't you be?

Once the Benadryl kicked in, though, he started to improve. The redness had really gone down by the time he went down for his nap, and when he woke up he had returned to my lovely adorable Squishy. Thank goodness.

He's so much cuter when he's happy and not red. :)

P.S. HE WALKED TODAY!!! 3 STEPS!!!
